Inspect first — then file the claim

The #1 mistake homeowners make: calling the insurance company before they know whether there's real damage. If you file a claim and there's no covered damage, the filing still goes on your record. Get a free inspection first. If we find damage worth claiming, we'll show you the photos and help you file. If we don't, you've lost nothing.

Section 02

Our 6-step claim process

We've moved thousands of claims through to approval. Here's exactly what happens.

  • Step 1 — Free drone inspection and photo report
  • Step 2 — Pre-claim consult so you know what's being filed
  • Step 3 — Filing support — we help you submit correctly
  • Step 4 — Adjuster meeting — we're there with you on the roof
  • Step 5 — Scope review and supplement if needed
  • Step 6 — Repair scheduled and completed

  • Nationwide
  • Progressive, Travelers, and smaller TX carriers
Section 04

Storm chaser warning — protect yourself

After every major storm, out-of-state 'storm chaser' contractors flood the area with door-to-door sales, contingency contracts, and high-pressure tactics. They collect the insurance check, do mediocre work, and disappear — leaving you without a warranty and without recourse. DG is local, RCAT-licensed (#03-0705), Owens Corning Preferred, and based right here in Temple. We'll still be here next year and the year after.

  • Never sign a contract on the day of an inspection
  • Be wary of door-to-door pitches after a storm
  • Verify Texas (RCAT) license and local address
  • Check Google reviews and ask for local references

Roofing Insurance Claims — FAQs.

Straight answers about this service, costs, timelines, and what to expect.

In Texas, weather-related claims generally don't affect your individual premium because they're considered acts of nature. Adjustments are spread across regional pools, not your specific policy. Confirm with your carrier.

One year from the date of loss. We recommend filing sooner — older damage gets harder to attribute to a specific storm event.

Nothing extra. Our help with the claim process is included when we do the repair. Inspection is free; the claim process is just part of our service.

We can request a re-inspection and submit a supplement with additional documentation. Many under-paid claims get adjusted upward when proper photos and a detailed scope are provided.

You pick. Texas law gives you the right to choose your contractor — your carrier may suggest names, but the choice is yours. Always pick a local, licensed contractor with a real address and verifiable history.
